Bedroom Linen Curtains

We had already put up Ikea wooden venetian blinds in the window, but needed curtains against the cold and sunlight as well. I have decided on the same Ikea natural linen fabric Aina, as we have in the Livingroom downstairs. They need a Double Dutch pleat (50 in total) and they also had to be lined with a blackout blinding fabric.

MUJI Simple is Beautiful

This brand has been around in Japan since 1980. In English it means "No Brand, Quality Goods".
A lifestyle product store, that sells Furniture, Household accessoires, Bedding, Food, Stationary, Travel, Storage, Fashion, Cosmetics, etc.

I just love the simple design, natural fiber material and minimal packaging, functional and affordable.

On my resent visit to Japan, I went to have a look in the store again. They are a Master in Storage space. As the Japanese like to be very efficient. Many boxes, even in see through plastic, to find your goods easily. Even for under the bed. Nice rotan as well. It stacks up beautifully.

The fashion is really basic, tshirt, pullovers, shoes, socks, etc. Lovely eco friendly, natural fiber. Mostly uni coloured, sometimes a stripe or a check print.
It now owns stores in Asia, Europe and North America. (link)
There is an online store. (link)

Tokyo....Lost in Translation

Love the black Japanese caracters on this sign.

Only 24 Hours in Japan, Tokyo.
That means Quick shopping and eating gorgeous food. I have taken some pictures of the Funny Fake Food outside the restaurants. Even the icecream is fake to show you an example. Japanese people also eat with their eyes, that is why it has to look good as well.

Went to the foodcourt, because I've had Sushi before. I decided on Korean Bibimbap. It was an experience just to order. First you put money in the machine, to order the number with the foodmenu you want, than you get some kind of beeper to take to your table while waiting. When it goes of, you collect your food. Efficient and delicious. Yes, it's a raw egg to put in your food and mix it!

Also went to the MUJI store. A Japanese Concept, with Home Decor, Furniture, Fashion, Travel, Cosmetics,  Food, Stationary, ect. I mention this store in Favourite Brands. (link) Simple is beautiful.

Passed this store NIKO and......
It has really nice things for your interieur, clothes and stationary. Bought a new agenda for 2012, with a map of the world on it.

I'm sure, I have to get back to Tokyo soon!
